Lift a Cube: How to Buy Better Arms (Pad Locations & Purchase)

Find the green 'Buy better arms' pads in Lift a Cube, check the displayed cost, buy the upgrade with the interact prompt, and confirm the drop in your push-up time.

Better arms in Lift a Cube are not bought in a shop menu — you buy them from green purchase pads placed through the map. The first "Buy better arms" pad costs $30 and is reachable early near the starting zone, and every zone carries its own pads. Stand on the pad, confirm the purchase with the interact prompt (E), and your push-up timer drops immediately.

Where the arm upgrade pads are and how to identify them

Arm pads are the green floor pads displaying a "Buy better arms" prompt with the push-up time listed. They are scattered through each area of the map, starting near spawn, and pads further out sell faster upgrades than the ones near spawn. The map runs outward from spawn through themed zones (grass, sand, ice), each containing training pads, upgrade pads, and chests — so practically, look for the green pad with the prompt as you move through each zone. No precise landmark-to-pad walking route or full list of every pad location and price is documented; use the green-pad prompt as your identifier while exploring each zone.

Cost and how to complete the purchase

  1. Walk onto or up to the green "Buy better arms" pad. The first one costs $30 in cash.
  2. The pad displays a purchase prompt — interact with E, the game's interact key.
  3. Confirm the purchase with your cash.
  4. The upgrade stays with you for the rest of the session. Later arm pads in farther zones cost progressively more cash, so check the figure shown on each pad before committing.

The $30 figure applies to the first pad only. Recorded play shows other pads at different figures — one player noted 50 before buying, another bought a $6,000 push-up-time pad — so pad prices are currently inconsistent across the map. Always read the amount displayed on the pad itself rather than assuming a uniform price.

Recognizing the upgrade result: push-up time before and after

A successful arm purchase visibly lowers your push-up time, which raises the strength you gain per minute. The timer drops immediately on purchase. In observed play, at a $6,000 pad the push-up time fell to about 0.6 seconds, and successive pads in later zones pushed it down further — recorded at roughly 0.42s, 0.21s, 0.12s, 0.1s, and 0.079s as more expensive pads were bought. Purchases also apply a cosmetic arm appearance change (electric, wind, snow, or fire auras); the aura signals the new arms are equipped but is not itself the strength benefit. Purchases stay with you for the rest of the session, and cross-session carryover is not established.
