Lift a Cube How to Make Money: Observed Lift Payouts & Balance Checks

How completed lifts pay Cash in Lift a Cube, with observed payout examples under stated conditions, balance verification steps, and evidenced cash uses.

To make money in Lift a Cube, walk to a cube, rapidly tap the Left Mouse Button to push the bar icon to the right edge, and collect the cash payout for that successful lift. Payout scales with the cube's weight: heavier cubes grant better payouts, lighter options pay less, and cubes whose Recommended strength you don't meet pay nothing. Every figure in this guide is an observed value from dated playthroughs or community guides — there is no official payout formula, so treat each amount as an example, not a permanent rate.

Cash is not Strength: two different resources in the lift loop

Lift a Cube runs on two resources new players often conflate. Strength is the gating stat earned from push-ups at the training spot; Cash is the spendable currency produced by lifting. The loop works as push-ups generating Strength, then walking to a cube and rapidly tapping the Left Mouse Button to complete the lift minigame and generate cash, with cash feeding back into arm tiers, train speed purchases, and chest rolls.

The distinction matters: you can have millions in cash and still be unable to pick up the next cube if your Strength stat has not crossed the threshold. Cash is the intermediate resource; Strength is the gating resource. A successful lift itself runs through a minigame where you rapidly tap the Left Mouse Button to push an icon across a bar — upon a successful cube pickup, you earn a fixed amount of Cash.

Complete a lift and observe its payout

Each cube displays a weight in kilograms plus a Recommended strength value acting as a gate. Meet or beat it and the lift completes; fall short and the cube will not leave the ground, paying nothing. Successful repeats pay the same amount each time — one playthrough asked "Did we just get $25 every time we lift it?" on a starter cube and later farmed a heavier tier at "144K every single time we lift this."

Documented payout examples under stated conditions (September 2026 playthroughs)

These rows are condition-bound observations from dated playthroughs and one guide table. Several examples are identified only by their recommended-strength gate because the video does not name the cube. Values may shift with balance updates.

Cube / conditionWeightRecommended strength gateObserved payout
Stone Cube6.6 kg61$35 (guide table); a playthrough observed 36 cash
Starter cube, first liftsnot recordednot recorded25 bucks
Cube at 2.3k recommended strengthnot recorded2.3k750 per lift
Crystal cube (purple gem cube)not recordednot recorded800 blocks
Later cubenot recordednot recorded22,000 per lift
Late-map cube after a large grindnot recordednot recorded21k per lift

The Stone Cube values are currently inconsistent between $35 and 36 — close but not identical, and neither figure is claimed to be permanent. Check your own payout in-game rather than assuming a fixed rate.

One mid-tier example also shows payout does not always feel proportional to the gate's difficulty: a playthrough found a cube paying only 100 bucks relative to the clicking effort ("That's nothing, actually"), even though heavier cubes generally pay more per lift.

Verify the payout against your balance

  1. Note your current Cash balance on the on-screen readout before approaching the cube.
  2. Meet or beat the cube's Recommended strength — if the prompt appears but the bar refuses to move, your strength is below the recommendation and no cash is paid.
  3. Complete the lift minigame with continuous left-click input.
  4. Confirm registration: the lift registered when the cube is hoisted overhead and a cash amount pops up on screen and is added to your balance.
  5. Compare the new balance to your starting figure. Repeats pay the same amount each time — one playthrough watched a balance climb from 1.3 million through 1.5 million while farming a cube at 144K per lift.
  6. Watch your click rate. In one dated playthrough, input sent too fast did not post — the tester found the game "literally wasn't registering my money" and had to slow the click rate for payouts to appear.

What lift cash is spent on

Lift payouts feed back into the same loop through three evidenced spending categories:

  • Arm upgrades — green pads scattered through each area sell permanent upgrades bought with Cash, starting with a "Buy better arms" pad that cuts push-up time.
  • Train speed / push-up time purchases — bought with Cash and stacking on top of arm tiers, since more cash buys a faster push-up rate.
  • Arm Materials Chest rolls — use money to roll the Arm Materials Chest for arm materials, which apply a multiplier on your strength gains. Observed roll costs include $80 for a common Sand Material and $4.5K for a rare 3x material.

The community training guide recommends routing cash to arms first, then train speed, then chests, because chests are a lottery while arms are a guaranteed rate increase. Balances can also fall short of a target: one player holding 2.4 million could not afford a 15 million arm, so keep farming the best cube your Strength gate allows until the purchase is in reach.
