Lift a Cube: How to Roll Arm Materials (Arm Materials Chest Guide)
Find the Arm Materials Chest, meet its 20 Strength unlock, pay the roll cost, complete an ordinary material roll, and read the resulting rarity and multiplier.
To roll arm materials in Lift a Cube, find the Arm Materials Chest, reach the displayed 20 Strength unlock threshold, pay the roll cost shown at the chest, and confirm the roll. Each roll resolves one randomized material with a rarity and a Strength multiplier — for example, a Common Sand Material at 1.5x or a Mythic at 600x — which applies on top of the arms you already have.
Find the material-roll interaction
The Arm Materials Chest is the interaction that rolls arm materials, and it sits inside the standard train-lift-roll loop: lift cubes for cash, then use the money to perform rolls on the chest for arm materials. Access is gated by a displayed strength threshold rather than a hidden location — an early prompt shows "20 TO UNLOCK" before rolling becomes available.
For a first session:
- Do push-ups on the training pad.
- Lift the nearby cubes to earn cash.
- Once you reach 20 Strength, walk up to the chest and interact with it.
Controls are minimal: WASD to move, spacebar to jump, and E to interact. One recorded player found the box could be rolled almost immediately after unlocking — the flow is simply "gain 20 strength," then roll.
Check its displayed conditions
The unlock condition is displayed right on the chest, so read the prompt before assuming the roll is available. Rolls also cost in-game cash, and that price is shown at the chest before you commit. The cost rises with the chest tier along your route on the map. Values seen in playthroughs include:
- About $80 to cycle a roll at an early chest, with a nearby station listed at 1.3k.
- A Rare-tier material listed at $4.5K in a community roll table.
- A chest display showed a 1% Mythic chance and a 1.7 million cost in one recorded run. Another capture described a Legendary result at the same 1.7 million figure; these may show the same station at different moments, so check the live chest label instead of assigning the shared figure to one rarity.
Because costs scale with map progression, treat any specific number as an observation of the chest you are standing at and check the figure printed on your own station.
Complete a roll and identify the result
Standing at the chest presents a "Roll for arm material" prompt. Paying the cost cycles the roll and resolves a single randomized material with a rarity and a Strength multiplier attached. Each result is shown with an on-screen rarity label and chance percentage. Results seen in play include a Common Sand Material at Strength 1.5x, a rare roll at 4.5K, and a 1%-chance Mythic at 600x.
Rolls can surface materials you cannot afford to claim yet. If that happens, keep lifting the highest cube you can handle and return when your balance covers the cost. Community guidance is to keep every material rolled and apply the largest multiplier to the arm tier you actually use.
Note that exact multipliers and odds are not officially published — the figures above are observed or community-estimated, and reported rarity bands and values currently differ between playthroughs and community tables. Check the label and chance percentage shown on your own roll result rather than relying on a fixed table.
Understand the effect and the separate Golden Roll option
Arm materials apply a Strength multiplier on top of everything else you have built: each material carries a multiplier that stacks with your arms rather than replacing them, so it helps you train more efficiently through the same lift loop. Community consensus for new saves is to take one roll early — right after the first cheap arm upgrade — accept the result, and return to arm upgrades rather than chasing a better roll immediately. Rolling the chest early means the multiplier compounds with every push-up you do afterward.
The ordinary chest is not the only roll station. Progressing the map opens additional stations: a "roll three times luck for better materials" station unlocks at 30,000 Strength, and a "times 10 luck" station appears further out, past a 140 million Strength zone gate. These stations carry luck labels that improve the roll distribution. They are distinct from the separate Golden Roll option, which is labeled separately on the map and works differently from the ordinary chest roll. Event windows can also add a "chest roll token" (a Tier 1 reward) that lets you roll an arm material with an event-tagged bonus.
